My mobile number changed a few years ago but I never updated my profile.
Now I can't log in as Paypal wants to send me a text on the old number to verify the account.
I've tried logging in from a different browser which doesn't work.
Also tried using the Help Chat system, but this also requires me to log in to proceed.
Tried ringing the help support number but spent ages going round and round in circles with the automated options, could not get to a point of speaking to an actual person.
Funny thing is, when I selected 'Ask the Community' to access this forum, it allowed me to log in to create this profile to do this!
Really stuck as to how to resolve. Would really appreciate if anyone can offer some help with this please?

I feel your pain, the exact same thing happened to me with FB, which requires me to use my old phone number to input the OTC code.
@milkyjoe01 I actually know the answer to this, from my FB research. your options are 1) to hack your old phone number, and intercept the code being sent to your old phone number. or 2) call your old phone number to give you the code when it's asked for it.
I was uncomfortable with the first option; and the second option wouldn't give me the code, just on principle for bothering them.
then if and when you log in, change it to your new number.
If you still want to contact paypal support, they have no e-mail, but
You can still send longer messages to their support team by sending a direct message
to @AskPayPal on Twitter, or by writing through their Facebook Page.

Hi all!
I keep getting a message that says "sorry, we couldn't confirm it's you", the only problem with that is I live in Europe and the contact us number is a US number which I can't call. I can't cancel an automatic payment because of this.
Is there anyone who can help??

If you can no longer access the account, from Help & Contact "Password and account access" then "Connection problems". You will find at the bottom of the page the options to contact us without being connected and in a secure way. These options will be available during the opening hours of our services, only.
If you can access your account but are unable to change the phone number, please do not hesitate to contact us once logged into your account, you will find options at the bottom of the page to contact us once logged in.
if you are having trouble joining paypal, you can do so on twitter and facebook.
paypal is present on both. all you have to do is "send a private message"

I changed my mobile phone number, and I already added new number....but now when I required to change my password...I changed and can login...but PayPal send code to first "old" phone number...and now can't access...what to do?

It happens. Hit the "Login to Ask the community" button to create a question for the PayPal community.
- PayPal failed to recognize the currency of my card as USD & are deducting my local currency instead in Transactions
