Chargeback - Please help me

I have received a reversal of funds / chargeback to my account leaving me in negative balance.

I am so frustrated, have tried to open a dispute and contact paypal but all it says is that the transaction ID is not valid.

I sell a number of electronic vouchers (ie. Amazon) via Paypal. A few times I have come accross where a buyer has paid for the item, I email them the voucher code and then they open a dispute. I have always succeeded in winning the dispute.

However, this time no dispute was filed, I received no notification from Paypal about the reversal, it seems that the money was just taken from my account and given back to the buyer leaving me out of pocket.

I have sent a couple of messages to Paypal (not easy, so many loops to go through... why is there not just a simple contact us form!!) and hoping to hear back. So far all I have received is an automated reply asking me to open a dispute... which is impossible to do as it is not letting me dispute that transaction.

Where do I stand with this, is there any more that I can do. As I sold through ebay surely I am entitled to seller protection.

I am even unable to leave negative feedback for this person on Ebay as that option seems to have been removed.

Sigh... this has certainly put me off using both Paypal and Ebay as a seller, and even as a buyer.

Does anyone have any advice?

Kind Regards

Diane

Hi there Hellobear007,

Firstly, vouchers or items that are cash equivilants aren't covered under our Seller Protection Policy. This could be why the case has been closed and there has been no protection provided to you under our Seller Protection Policy.

I can't see your account so I can't advise what exactly is happening with this case. My best advice for you would be to try contacting customer services for more information and we could investigate it further for you. If there is anything more we could do to assist you, we would let you know when you get in contact with customer services.

David.
