i can't add my VISA Debit card into paypal?

hi, am adding my Global Debit-**bleep**-ATM card (VISA) to paypal, but it keep saying as;

"This credit card has been refused by the bank that issued your credit card. For details on why your card was refused, please contact your credit card issuer's Customer Service department. Or, you may want to try adding a different credit card."

what is the problem here? i used my card and withdrawed money in last week too.

should i contact my bank or anyone here can help me?

I can't add my visa too.. what's wrong? the bank told me that It's already activated and it works fine. I don't know why? I really need this. Do I need to deposit money on my card? PLEASE HELP ME. I need this card for my clients payment. Please do help me

Welcome to our Community 

I'd like to help you with this one.

You do need to have available funds before you can successful add your card to PayPal.

When you attempt to add your card, PayPal will charge the card 1 USD temporarily to verify that the card details are accurate.

This 1 USD is usally returned to your card in a matter of hours but it does need to be available before you initiate the process.

I hope that makes sense and I'm sure the card will work fine once you add funds!

Another frustrated user here. I just spent an hour calling back and forth between my bank and paypal. You guys says the bank is declining your verifications. The bank says its a known problem on your end and/or they can't verify $0.0 transactions. They say call paypal, paypal says call your bank (I use UBank). What's going on here?

I've used paypal for years with no problem, even with this bank. My other visa cards work fine. It's only since I got my new card (about a month or two ago) for this account that I've had any difficulties. Can I get some help please?

Sorry to hear that you are having a hard time adding your card.

Based from the information you have provided I can clarify why this is happening.

When you add a card PayPal checks if the card is really active and not just a bunch of random numbers. Meaning, PayPal tries and asks authorisation from your card issuer, sometimes there is a test charge or authorisation charge ranging from $0 to $1. This authorisation charge is not allowed by your card issuer and that is the reason why PayPal is unble to test your card. You may contact your card issuer and talk to "online card authorisation department" and tell them that you are the one who is using your card online through PayPal and allow the test.

If you are just talking to a bank teller or general customer service of your card they will just simply say your card is ok. You have to ask them to transfer you to "online authorisation department".

Hello!
I can't add my credit card to account after I tried to verify my credit card.
My card has been charged 1 PLN(Poland) and I didn't know what is this "4 DIGIT CODEE"  in dectription. I tried 3 times(last 4 numbers, first, centraly) then block me because it was wrong. Then I delete my card from PayPal account and I tried add again, then I got information that I can't add this card... ;(
