Paypal Stole my money

Ok, so to activate my credit card, paypal is going to charge me $1.95 to get it activated. Then they are going to send me a 4 digit code with that charge. I'm thinking that it's not a big deal because I did this not too long ago and it worked! Well, Igo to check my balance and they charged the $1.95 as they said, but then I got an additional charge of $1.00 for some reason I don't know. Not only did they give me the pointless $1.00 charge but i never received my 4 digit code!!!   This is a very poor system your running here and I'm extremely dissatisfied with my experience as a paypal customer. Maybe you'll be able to identify the problem but... I doubt it.

I get the distinct impression that a lot of these complaints are infact human error and not necessarily on the part  of paypal. In any monetary transaction there is going to be a service fee or what Paypal calls a authorization fee, which apparently is the 1.00. The problem with a lot of people is that they are lawsuit happy, which while reading these comments is very apparent. Paypal must be doing something right if it has been in business all these years. My suggestion would be keep a closer eye on your transactions, when they originated on paypal, when they processed in your bank accounts etc.

They do it everyday!!!   You list an item..listing fees, and then the final value fees, then we get to paypal that charges you a fee fo taking a payment. 3 different fees going to one company.....hmmm

So you employ a builder to re- render your wall & then you spot a few loose tiles on the roof.

Do you think the builder should fix the tiles for free?

If you don't like the eBay fees, try building a website & promoting it.

See how much that will cost.

This system is  run on a totalitarian base of government.  Be extremely careful what you say.  Believe it or not just by having a PayPal account you have signed away your Soul.  Trust me on this do not express opinions about PayPal here it is not wise.

What are you scared of exactly? I am joining a class action suit. It is not to be malicious to PayPal but the legality of many of their policies is being called into question by legal professionals, and this is business. What are you suggesting they will do to me?

When a company makes a change or addendum to the user agreement/policy such as what I pasted below, one has to wonder why. Why should confidential criteria be used to control information that a customer or user does not understand?

There are explainations for actions taken by Pay Pal and holds are placed on money that is paid by one party and that party is expecting that it is just being paid to whom they are buying from it is no longer between Pay Pal and a single user. It is among three parties  the buyer -Pay Pal-and the seller. So stepping on money that is only meant to be exchanged from one user to another for undisclosed reasons  like risk management and security procedures is very similar to how organized crime like street gangs, or Mafia conduct business. The risk managment and security  of  a large corporation should not be shouldered by the customers that pay to use the service provided.

It is a very sad situation and if it is Pay Pals interest to protect money and stop crime from taking place.

Then change the whole policy to...

that  Pay Pal can and will hold money that moves between two users which may cause delays due to a judgment made  in secrecy by Pay Pal and if Pay Pal feels like it, the money will be absorbed and one user will be charged for a loss Pay Pal  wants to claim as a loss which may also be covered for by whatever insurance covers pay pal  for loss or damage....

Seriously read the new policy changes... Here... About actions and holds

-right boss? I mean, money peddlers, holders,keepers,finders,...

Seriously ?

Actions by PayPal - Holds. We have updated our disclosures in Section 10 relating to your liability and the actions we may take. A User’s rights, responsibilities and liability under this section have not changed except for the addition of your acknowledgment that our decision to take certain actions such as holds and reserves is based on confidential criteria, and your agreement that we have no obligation to disclose the details of our risk management or security procedures.

You took $1.95 or so for verification BUT WHY DID YOU THEN TAKE AN EXTRA DOLLAR?
