Phone number changed - can't log in

My mobile number changed a few years ago but I never updated my profile. 

Now I can't log in as Paypal wants to send me a text on the old number to verify the account.

I've tried logging in from a different browser which doesn't work.

Also tried using the Help Chat system, but this also requires me to log in to proceed.

Tried ringing the help support number but spent ages going round and round in circles with the automated options, could not get to a point of speaking to an actual person.

Funny thing is, when I selected 'Ask the Community' to access this forum, it allowed me to log in to create this profile to do this!

Really stuck as to how to resolve. Would really appreciate if anyone can offer some help with this please?

Help! I need to change my phone number but it won’t let me log in without sending a text to my old number which I don’t have access to anymore. I can’t contact support without this either it seems!

I have the same issue. Called the india based customer support and changed my number to my current number. after 3 weeks it still gives me my old number for 2FA. Good luck...

Do you have a phone number? I can’t even find a phone number for customer support - it’s so frustrating!!

Contact options for Paypal are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages...

1. Paypal phones are slowly re-opening and increasing in numbers (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out.
Or
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their Facebook or Twitter pages.

I am sorry to know that you're unable to access your PayPal account. Unfortunately, it is not currently possible to log in to your PayPal account without a mobile phone number attached to your account. The best way to resolve this issue is by contacting our customer service so that one of our advisors can assist you further. Please contact customer service by clicking contact at the bottom of the PayPal website to see the contact options.

Dear community,

I have been locked out of my account after cleaning up my computer with ccleaner as it deleted the paypal cookies. I am not able to log in to paypal now as it requires a phone confirmation and the phone number provided into my account is obsolete. I am also not able to contact paypal as there is no option to contact them unless logged. Can someone help me and let me know if its possible to restore access to my account?
