Dinodirect dispute

Has anyone else filed a dispute against dinodirect?

They sent me an email trying to get me to clost the dispute and then they would ship it. Sounds like they are trying to stall me. I read the forum and everyone is unhappy with this company

It is not so much the international ordering....it is the lack of response.  It is clear that they don't understand that people would be more understanding if they provided order confirmations and explained the expected shipping date.  No communication to your customer is unacceptable.   So even if they did not 'advertise' a 60 day shipping period, they could send you a note after you placed your order....you might be shocked but at least you might still have some confidence in the company!

I have my dispute submitted....they did the same thing to me....asked me to wait and again provided no details on the shipping!

UPDATE - package arrived with the product I ordered.  I was surprised.

I think they need to improve their communication and people woul better understand what to expect.  That said, I probably won't order from them again.

You said regardless of what there website tells about shipments it normally takes 60 days from over seas. Well don't you think that is no way to do business to mislead your customers on your website that is called FRAUD don't you think?

Yup. I totally agree.  Would people order if they were told it would be 60-90 days before they got something, and heaven forbid if it was broken or wrong as then it would probably take additional 30 - 60 days ... ?   Probably not.  But to lie to people just to get their money and then not give it back without a lot of run-around - that's not right!

It is my understanding that they don't have ANY of the products they advertise. Once they have your money they hunt around to see if they can find someone to drop ship it to you - or make it, in the case of dresses.

I feel so fortunate to have escaped with my cash.  They seem concerned with poor paypal ratings, so you should at least get a response now.  Stick to your guns and don't fall for there 'we'll give you your money back if you drop your claim'.

Good luck!

I ordered a bag from DinoDirect today via Paypal. The order went through on Paypal (and money's been taken) and the order 'appeared' to go through on DinoDirect website. However I have received no email to confirm and when i look in my DinoDirect Account no order is listed. To contact them you need an order number which I was not sent.

If I came to this forum before I ordered (and I did look for forum reviews of this retailer before purchasing) I probably wouldn't have bothered with them. Hopefully they'll respond to my email sent to their generic 'wholesale' email address as that is the only address I found.

If anyone has had experiences emailing them or paying via Paypal and it not 'appearing' to process properly, please can you share your experience? Hopefully DinoDirect will get back to me as I'd rather not dispute the payment. I'll let you know.

Yup I had to file 2 disputes for my orders.

They said they shipped it to me on november 18, and on december 14 it went back to pending new lol?? 1 month and still no shipment?

The other order was still pending and only a few hours old so I asked to cancel and they refused. So had to dispute that too.

I also filed a dispute with PayPal re Dino Direct, which they eventually refunded. Unfortunately, I made other orders with them using a credit card. PayPal seems to be one place that has some leverage against Dino Direct.

As others have mentioned, DD tries to get you to drop the dispute without refunding any money. When I posted a message cautioning other buyers about this on DD's forum, it was promptly deleted. Another buyer posted a contact phone number on a DD forum, and number was disconnected shortly after. I never saw the online chat support working.

The biggest lesson I have learned is to use PayPal for any online purchases. Since I placed my order with Dino Direct, I have placed and received a few other orders from China. All with excellent communication and fast shipping at comparable prices. I would hope the Chinese government takes an interest in this as DD certainly sends the wrong message about ordering direct from China.

BTW, I have received one partial order and another as been "partially shipped". Who knows what that means?

I also have escalated my dispute to a claim with Paypal regarding DinoDirect.  3.5 weeks have passed since I placed and order and I have had one response saying 'they're trying to get items shipped soon'.....

They then emailed me asking me to clsoe the dispute and they would post my item - sounds like a)blackmail to me, or b)a desperate attempt to stall me.

I hope Paypal will see that this organisation are a scam and organise refunds as soon as possible.

Hi everyone,

I wanted to take a minute to congratulate you all for keeping your wits about you and sticking with your claim rather than close it out because the seller has promised to ship. That's exactly what a buyer needs to do to stay safe.

I also wanted to thank you all for filing your disputes through PayPal. The best way to let us know about if there are problems with a seller's practices is to file a dispute, since that will give us the opportunity to look more closely at what's going on.

Thanks again for being informed PayPal users!
