As far as I'm aware, my account is verified and I've followed all the steps to lift the limits on my account, but there's still a £1,700 yearly limit. I've trawled the Help section, but to no avail.
How DO you lift the limits?

Hi there Nrhw,
If you are facing difficulties when trying to complete the verification processes on your PayPal account, you should contact customer services and we can assist you in completing the different steps.
In regards to your query Paul_Brooks, it is a requirement that a customer confirms a credit or debit card in order to have their PayPal limits lifted. If you have a debit card linked to the bank account that is registered on PayPal, you can add and confirm the card on your account in order to have your limits lifted. If you are facing difficulties or if you don't have any credit or debit cards, you should consider contacting customer services and we can try to assist you in verifying your PayPal account.
David.

I have the same problem and it isn't solved in a satisfactory way for me. I have done all the verifying, linking card etc. etc. and my account still shows a receiving limit. I have phoned Customer Services this evening and the chap said that I had done everything I needed to do, and that what would happen is that when I reached my receiving limit my account would go 'dead' for a couple of hours and then it would be OK, though I might have to call Customer Services again. Does this sound right to you?
What this means is that at the point when I actually reach my limit, whichever customer is trying to pay me will have their payment refused, won't it? How unprofessional!
Surely there's a better way for this to be resolved? Is it a software glitch or something? Surely if I've done everything I need to do then my account should update and show that my limits have been removed. I shouldn't have to wait until the limit is reached and then have everything go crazy for a couple of hours.
Any ideas, folks?

I must admit, I am finding this whole thing a bit scary. I am just in the process of signing up to paypal, all I need is for them to receive payments, both I and the customer need to know that they are secure, but it is becoming increasingly apparent that Paypal is not particularly professional in the way they treat clients.
I have just tried to respond to a Paypal survey and guess what, it dies on me halfway through, so I can't even tell them that they haven't sorted my problems. I am rapidly giving up hope. I need something that is secure and works.

I am unable to send through paypal because of my limits, however I answered all questions required of me to lift my limits and it still won't do so. It says I have to answer the questions below to complete it but I have already done so and it's all green ticks with no further questions to answer. I am verified and haven't changed ny bank accout or debit card
This is getting rather frustrating because I can't buy things on ebay now that have to be paid through paypal.

We have been dealing with paypal and we can confirm them as the worst company we do know as a provider of online payment solutions.
If you too less or you sell too more, you become a target for limitations and paypal tell you this is an automated systems.
So you should sell in the middle of too less and too more if these make sense.
Over the years we have been trading, we had to appeal to Paypal Chief Executive for our limitations to be released as we sent all the facts to him and it was very obvious they are trying to stop small uk businesses from growing at the expense of some foreign sellers who make as if they are uk sellers (we just counted there are thousands of them)
Please do all joing the boycott against paypal and do ask all customers 5% surcharge and explain the situation to them as we did and one customer has quoted " I have never been so happy to have shifted from Ebay/Paypal to XXXXXX"
