I've just opened a business PayPal account, starting out as a new online shop means I don't have terms on the stock I need to buy, therefore when someone buys something from my website, I need the funds available quickly so I can pay the distributor to send the items out. I created a petition to prevent PayPal from holding funds. PayPal has been holding every payment that I receive for 3 weeks for the past 3 months. It is now the holidays and I have no way of buying presents for my friends or family members. This is ridiculous and needs to stop! I've already filed for a class action law suit. Hi there pil63a,   It sounds to me that your buyer has already opened a dispute on this transaction. It could be possible that the item may have been damaged in transit even though they won't send you any pictures of the damaged item. If they have opened a case, you should provide as much information as possible when responding to the case so that all of the details can be taken into consideration when a final decision is being made.   I wouldn't advise that you provide them any funds towards returning the item to you as they are not working directly with you and haven't provided you with any pictures of the condition of the goods. If we ask your buyer to return the item to you, we would ask them to pay the return postage cost themselves and when we can see that you have received the goods back, we would then process a full refund on the original transaction.   You should also try contacting your postal company in order to determine if you can initiate a claim for the item arriving to the buyer in a damaged condition. If the item has been damaged in transit, you should be able to claim through your postal company for this.   I hope this helps,   David. ... View more

Hi guys,   When holds are placed on your payments through your PayPal account, we are required to release the payment after three days has passed since the items were delivered to your buyer. This is to provide the buyer with the oppertunity to leave feedback before we can release the payments to your account.   I realise that it may be frustrating for you but if you receive feedback from your buyer, the funds should be released to your PayPal account within 24 hours or so. You could contact us if you wish when you receive feedback from your buyers and we can have the funds released to your account while you are on the phone.   I hope this helps,   David. ... View more

You can get your funds 3 days after it has been delivered, you have to give paypal the tracking number and email them and then they release the funds. It is still ridiculous though as i waited 90 days for this 21 day hold to be lifted and in less than a week they have reapplied the hold. So there isnt really a light at the end of the tunnel im afraid. I have told them if they dont lift the hold then  will be closing my account. ... View more

Hey there guys,   When a case is opened the funds are placed on hold. The issue will arise if the person does not have enough funds in their balance to cover the disputed amount. If they don't have enough it will bring the PayPal balance into a negative.   If they do have enough the PayPal account can continue to be used as normal.   So from the sounds of it the seller has been brought negative and as a result they can’t send you on payment for postage.   Do send the item back if eBay have asked you to and look into the postage costs with the seller after, because if you don't send it back within the timeframe of the case you run the risk of no refund being issued. ...
