Hey there,   Here’s how to view the status of your refund: Go to www.paypal.com/uk and log in to your account. Click Activity and locate the refund. Select the refund to open the 'Transactions Details' page. If you paid with a card, your payment will be refunded to your card. (It may take up to 30 days depending on your bank) If you paid with your bank account or PayPal balance, your payment will be refunded to your PayPal balance Here are definitions for your refund’s status: ‘Completed’: Your refund has been credited to your account ‘Pending’: Your seller has initiated the refund but the money has not yet cleared. The refund will appear as ‘completed’ as soon as the money posts to your account. This process can take up to 7 working days to complete ‘Canceled’: The refund could not be completed. Contact the seller for more information 'Placed' and 'Removed': These statuses refer to the temporary hold on a payment rather than the payment itself. A hold is placed on a payment (eg when a refund is pending) and is later removed when the payment either completes or is cancelled. When checking the status of your refund you should refer to the original payment, not the hold The original payment’s status will show whether the payment has been refunded: ‘Refunded’: The entire original payment was credited to your account ‘Partially Refunded’: Part of the original payment was credited to your account Thanks, Lucy ... Hey there jerry12x,   Welcome to the community.   If you received a refund through PayPal and it says refund in your PayPal account transaction details, this means the seller issued a refund to you, not PayPal.   If PayPal returned the funds it would show as “reversed”.   The dispute you opened, it would be closed as there is no buyer protection on virtual or intangible goods.   For this I would advise continuing to contact the seller to try and come to a resolution.  ... Hey there SL82,   Welcome to the community.   You can pick Sole Trader for this. As it’s just a Sole Trader we won’t be asking for any company number or anything like that.   If you do register with company’s house at a later date the account can be updated for this.   Individual would be used for customers who would sell small amount but mostly buy.   I hope this helps. ... Hey there AdamVincent,   Welcome to the community forum.   You can fax the document in or upload it.   Fax: 08707 303 194   Upload: the fastest way would be to upload through the name change process. Now don't worry, your name won’t change or anything it’s just the quickest way to upload the document.   When you have taken a photo of or scanned in your documents, please follow the steps below. 1. Click on "contact us" 2. Click "email us" 3. Pick the topic "My Account" 4. Subtopic "Name Change" 5. Then click on "Name Change Request" 6. On the next page select the first option and then you will be presented with an option to "upload files"   I hope this helps.  ... View more

Hey there guys,   Welcome to the community forum.   Fluffy99, you need to log into your account and follow the steps that have been provided by Paula just above your post. If you are having trouble doing this you can contact our customer service department who will help you further. Click on contact us at the bottom of your page to call or email.   Love123, Granmakim46, Firemanjonny and jon157uk, if you didn't set up the billing agreement/subscription or you have unauthorised payments then let us know and we can investigate the transactions on your behalf. Once we confirm it was not you who made the payments we can reimburse you so you won’t be out of pocket.   Kecinc, once you keep your password for PayPal secure then your account will be fine. Run regular virus scans on your computer and do change the password on a regular basis. Keep your password on PayPal unique to PayPal as well, so don't use the same password on any other accounts online. (Online shopping accounts, social network sites etc.)   Again as above if you didn't authorise a payment in your PayPal account let us know and we will cover you for this amount. You shouldn't be out of pocket for payments you did not authorise in your PayPal account.   I hope this helps.  ... View more

Hey there cambstrains,   Welcome to the community!   It is possible to set up a hosting button (a button created via www.paypal.com with specific options ticked) then you can enable ‘inventory control’.   When setting up this button you have in step two the option to “track inventory, profit & loss (optional).   One of the options on this bottom of this page says “No, don't let customers buy “he item”, under the heading of “Can customers buy an item when it is sold out”.   You can read more on this here in our developers section.   And if you are wanting more information or help with this you can open a ticket with our Merchant Technical team here.   If you do this, let me know the ticket number and I’ll escalate it for you.  ... Hey there seller56,   The status of removed means that the hold that was on the payment has now been removed. When a case closes like this the funds that PayPal put on hold at the start of the case are returned to your buyer. We wouldn't issue a double refund.   So unless you actually sent the buyer a payment and didn't use the refund link then they will only have the one amount of £35.99 and that will be the funds that you received and were placed on hold that are reversed.   I hope this helps. ... Hey there LiaTFAR,   Welcome to the community.   When it comes to a payment review they only take 24hours to be resolved by PayPal. At that stage we can reverse the payment or credit it to the sellers account depending on the outcome of the review.   As the seller refunded the payment it suggests we hadn’t finished the review. Reviews can take place for many reasons. For example reviewing your account to make sure the payment was made by you or reviewing the sellers account to make sure the items are being sent etc.   Has the payment completed yet? ... View more

Hey there Karinacookies,   Welcome to the community forum.   If you don't see the amount showing as a transaction in your PayPal account then it’s possible that someone may have gained access to your debit card and used that as a once off payment as a quest through the PayPal system.   You did say direct debit specifically however, if it was a DD and definitely not your debit card then the bank account would have been used to make the payment. In order to send a payment from a bank account you do need to have it confirmed, this would mean having access to the bank account statement. Did you have any payments larger than the £60?   For example if you had a balance of £40 in your PayPal account and you made a payment for something that was £100, we would only request £60 from your bank account. This would result in conflicting amounts on your statement and in PayPal.   If this wasn't the case, do give customer service a call and the payment can be located and reported as unauthorised.   Let us know how you get on.  ...
