Well, yes and no. I'm getting closer. The problem is that PayPal has my SSN which it has used for years. I successfully added the EIN, but it is not the "default" I waiting to hear back from PayPal to see if they can use the EIN going forward. Seems they have to do some wrangling to get that to happen. After spending time on the phone with PayPal: You cannot have a PayPal account in the name of a corporation. I know. Sounds ridiculous to me, too. But that's what they say. The Owner of a PayPal account MUST be an individual - you can state your business name in the "Business" (which will go on the invoices) but your 1099-K will go to your social security number. and....   it's not worth my time again to provide a screenshot of when the $85 was submitted.   when you look at the reserve balance - there is absolutely no information associated with it (I even had to figure out on my own that it was a gift certificate).    There is no payment number that is associated with any 'reserve' balance, no buyer, no  date, no nothing. it takes sifting through months of transactions to find information on it.   [[ It took me about an hour six months ago to even determine who the buyer was since she bought the certificate initially for $70 and then added a couple days later $15. ]] ... a little history:  Not using eBay... using Web Site Payments Pro. Have been using PayPal as merchant since 2003.   Here is the only information on PayPal's web site  I can find in PayPal re: gift certificates**:   : What is the gift certificate rolling reserve balance? A: The gift certificate rolling reserve balance is a running tally of proceeds from gift certificate sales.
