Cancel a pending payment

I have duplicated a payment on PayPal. I now wish to cancel both payments.  (I could not 'place my order' online). both payments are pending at the moment...I just cannot figure out how to cancel them. HELP!

When you pay a company then it is often pending or awaiting authorisation until that company processes your order and captures the pending payment.

If they don't process the order and capture that payment then the pending status times out at 30 days post-payment and returns back to your funding source. 
Sometimes that company can void it earlier so you don't have to wait 30 days.

Thank you Kernowlass...Esteemed Advisor, most helpful. The order did not go through, so I don't think that the company can void payment earlier. Will wait for the 30 days to pass, and hope I see both money amounts returned. Appreciate your reply and information.
