Problem with fund from a friend's unlinked bank account

My friend sent me some money from his (unlinked to my paypal) bank account. He is also not a paypal user. As a novice, I needed the money on my Paypal wallet. So, I gave him my Name, email address and Paypal IBAN number (DE xxxx s.c.a.r.l ...... ). I have not received any sms nor email as regards the incoming fund. I ve used this IBAN number previously to remit fund from my bank account to my wallet so I presumed, direct transfer from his bank to my wallet should be faster inorder to complete my intended purchase. Please, what can I do to reclaim this money AND will bank chargeback be possible as I have limited deadline to complete the Order. As much as paypal is good, they lack clear instructions for seldom users. It is horrific, with so many contradictory procedures online.

I understand your concern about the payment not reflecting in your PayPal account. You can use your email address registered with PayPal, phone number and PayPal.Me link to receive money on your PayPal account. And the deposit number listed in your PayPal account is only for the internal transfers between your linked bank account and PayPal. Any payments processed outside PayPal will not be processed and I suggest you to ask your friend to contact their bank in order to retrieve the funds to their account.

Resolved. The fund was with luck still lurking in the sender's account. So, he terminated the transfer and resend it to my regular bank account. Case closed.
