Google Play purchase appears 4 times in Payments (using Chrome)

I purchased a cloud subscription for a Dlink camera from Android MyDlink app. Payment to be by Paypal. The order went through and is now showing as pending on my Visa account. No problem there. But for some reason, there are now 4 active Google entries under Payments on Paypal. Three of them appear to be linked and act as one. All are identical. same transaction number. I contacted Paypal on-line help and although agent tried we did not resolve the issue. He/She told me that at their end only one entry shows. I sent them screen shots to prove what I was seeing. I am concerned that if I cancel the triple version, the payment will also be cancelled. It is a monthly subscription.

Hello @FREEAGENT,

Welcome to PayPal Community Forum and thank you for posting!

I'm sorry to hear that you have experienced trouble with a multiple purchases. If there's only one charge on your card and PayPal account for the correct amount but  has multiple purchases, then there should not be an issue as this could be due to some error while placing the order. However, if you have been charged for multiple times for the purchases, then you can go ahead and report the duplicate charges after payment completion through the Resolution Center. As you mentioned that you have already reached out to us and our representative confirmed about the only one payment transaction and  you said that the purchases have same transaction ID's, you can be worry free. If the transactions are pending then it should drop off automatically within 30 days, if the payment is not captured by the merchant. Here's the Help Center Article to know some information.

Regards,
Ayesha

Interestingly the 2nd to 4th duplicates showed as separate entries o the Android App (which I don't use) but were grouped together as a single entity on the PC site. I read that if a subscription/payment was cancelled, any purchases up until then would still go through. I then canceled those 3 grouped entries leaving the single subscription which I still want. This seems to have worked. The single charge to VISA is no longer pending and has been posted. So no concerns now. Just puzzled as to why the initial payment showed up 4 times on Paypal.
