refunds very slow

paypal global advised a refund was paid to my mastercard(debit card) on november 26

but still no refund received its a very slow service when u consider your payments are taken out very quickly

because the refund is on the activity it cancels the purchase implying the refund has been made

If you funded the original Paypal payment to the seller from your bank account or a card then once marked refunded/completed it will automatically go back to that bank account or card.
Normally it can take a few days up to a week to go back to a bank account. Paypal say allow 30 days for a card (1 billing cycle) but its rarely that long.
(Can vary according to country though).

 now 2 weeks and still no refund  this clearly paypal inexperienced in return money might have to resort to other measures

i did actually but i am a retired accountant and i just do not understand why a refund takes so long

i did some reseach and it would appear that paypal are somewhat notorious for their slow refunds which

makes me think using other payments methods maybe more beneficial the service paypal offers is excellent except when refunds are at stake at its not uniform i cancelled 3 temu orders and the refund from paypal was instant to the same card i always used so paypal practices are not consistent always we will wait and see if the refund is made by 30 days which in todays banking world is ludicrous

Strange then that I have just received a credit card refund that took 2 weeks to show up on my card statement, that had nothing to do with paypal.

Paypal sends the refund but its up to your bank or card issuer as to how long they take to process that refund.
