Hi there, Does anyone knows if I can appeal a closed case ? I bought an item and the seller never shipped, emailed the seller via PayPal and he agreed to a refund but never did so. I opened a claimed sent all the screenshots and evidence to PayPal and the case was closed in the sellers favour. Very confusing.

Hello @ Temp20230521,

Welcome to our community help forum and thanks for posting!

I see you're looking to appeal the outcome of your case. You can request an appeal of the outcome of a claim by 10 days of the case closing. I would recommend you to reach out to our team to request an appeal. You can reach out to our team through the available contact options at the bottom of PayPal page or message us through Twitter, Facebook and Instagram pages.

Best wishes,

Bindu

Hey, I'm facing exact same issue. We're you able to successfully appeal it?

Hello @Yash1th

Thanks for stopping by the PayPal Community! Welcome!

I'm sorry to hear your recent case was closed, and I understand wanting to appeal. You should be able to appeal online within your Resolution Center within ten days of when the case closes. If you don't see the option, please reach out to Customer Support here

If you had opened an Item Not Received case that was closed but never received the item, please reach out to your local shipping carrier associated with the tracking number in your case. If the shipping carrier will provide a document that states the item was not delivered to you, that can be used for an appeal. Please note: the document does not need to state where the item was sent. It only needs to state that it was not delivered to your address.

I hope you're able to open an appeal and receive a refund!

- Meghan
