Paypal charged me the refund amount

A month ago I bought something from Reverb.com and after not getting the package, yesterday they issued a refund.

The problem is paypal charged me for the refund amount instead of giving me back the money. Keep in mind the charged me already a month ago.

Is this normal? Should I issue a chargeback in my bank?

Thank you in advance

Hello @Ivancho_25,

Welcome to our community help forum and thanks for posting!

I understand your concern about the refund amount debited from PayPal account. When a refund is issued, the money will go back to the original funding source. If you paid with a card or bank, the funds will be reversed to the same card or bank account. If you have paid with your PayPal balance, it would be added to your balance account. I would suggest you to check your account activity to see if the debited amount is for another payment/purchase. You can also reach out to our team through the available contact options at the bottom of PayPal page to get this checked further. Support is also available through Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.

Hope this information helps,

Bindu

Hello. Sorry I just now saw your reply, turns out my email notifications went straight to spam...

I've already checked everything and there's no other purchase or payment; I also talked to support on webpage and twitter and they just basically said I was wrong and ignored me. On facebook, however, they told me to send a document with my bank account status to [removed] so I did and I'm just waiting for an answer.

Is there anything else I can do? How soon can I expect an answer?

Thanks
