How to close account that contains 0,06 dollars

Hello Paypal help community,

I don't use PayPal, and I got an email from Paypal saying that the Account User that not uses its account will be charged starting 19 of Oct.

In my account there is 0,06 USD, and I cannot delete my account because there still money.

I was in contact with Paypal, I managed to open a case (it was not easy) and I got a response (as I describe above) even a nice support person wanted to help by donating this amount so that when my account will have 0,0 USD only then I can delete my account. But the money is still in my account.

I got a phone number to call in Sweden - but I am travelling temporary in south-america. To call Sweden and spend 7-8 USD per min, trying to fix a 0,06 USD problem is weird.

Does anyone had the same problem? and why it is so difficult for Paypal to help me in this?

I understand that you would like to close your account however, there is some funds left. In general, if there is a limitation or dispute on your PayPal account, if there is a balance, if there are any pending transactions or any compliance or risk, you wouldn't be able to close the account until that is solved. Since you're having trouble reaching out to PayPal Customer Support over the phone, please do not hesitate to reach out to Customer Support by sending a DM on Twitter or Instagram or a PM on Facebook.
