Hello, I have some question about ay in 4 feature, I was approved for the feature but now on websites where it was shown, I no longer see the options why could this be?

Happening to me too! Messaged PayPal and received a generic reply back saying they couldn’t see any issues with my account, and that some merchants didn’t accept it, and it may be due to internal checks (quite like the reply from PayPal in this thread). Very annoying!

It has happened to me too. I have contacted customer service and they said it is to do with the merchants and not PayPal: apparently all of the merchants I have used pay in 3 with in the past all got together and conspired to stop offering it at the same time! This is definitely very fishy and is 100% a PayPal issue in my opinion. For some reason the PayPal agents are not being open and honest about it

Finally saw the option for pay in 3 after trying to purchase from Shein, and when I clicked to select it (on the PayPal page), it came up “we cannot offer you this option at the moment”. It’s also popped up on my credit score that they’ve done a check which hasn’t happened before when I’ve used pay in 3, and I’ve used it frequently with no issues. Thanks PayPal 🙄

For some reason one of my pay in 3 payments didn't come out, I've never had this happen before as they always take the money on the date I started my plan. I didn't realise until 2 days later. Now I'm not getting this option anymore at the checkout. I'm guessing because of the late payment? Which wasn't really my fault. Will I be able to use pay in 3 ever again?

This has also happened to me. Payments always taken by paypal then this week a warning I had an overdue payment! The funds were there and the other 2 payments went out no problem. Gone to make a couple of purchases today, first time pay in three was there and then went saying they couldn't offer it. Second time not even an option.I'm not happy at all after using pay in 3 for years and always having payments go out on time 🙄

Just wish I had information from Pay pal what they are doing to address this issue as clearly others are having same problem - I also had overdue payment, obviously fault of pay pals system as should be automatic, now unable to access pay in 3! I want to know what PP is doing to sort this out.

This exact thing happend to me. All my payments are automatic, all went through fine besides this one. I got no notification about it being overdue. I only happened to notice when I logged into my account to get an update on a case. I paid it immediately, but since then I have no longer had the Pay In 3 option.

Exact same issue for me. An automatic payment failed last week (money was in the bank) and I only realised a couple of days after the due date. I manually paid it straight away and have had the same issue this week, a direct debit payment has been taken. It is showing in my bank as being taken but PayPal have messaged to say the payment has failed and I am now overdue. I’ve paid it again so as not to be late, but when my bank payment clears this is going to show as an overpayment. Honestly don’t know what to do, and now the pay in 3 option is no longer available to me. Paypal need to sort this out as this is clearly an issue with their payment system

I spoke with a PayPal advisor and they confirmed there was an issue with their PI3 system and a number of users were affected. They flagged my account as one that was affected. They said the PI3 option will show up again but couldn't give a time frame of when. It seems to have affected anyone who had a payment coming out on August 31st.
