Email notices for purchases made

Is it just me or has Paypal stopped sending emails showing that your Paypal card has been used?  I so loved this feature as I could track my husband's spending without having to badger him every day for receipts.  Help please.

Just received my first email from Paypal showing my most recent debit card transaction!  Yea!  I hope this is the end of the frustrating month of wading through all the Paypal site to find what I needed to keep my records straight!

I used mine yesterday twice and didn't get anything.  I hope it is changing I will start getting them again too.  My husband used the card yesterday and had forgotten to tell me.  Not totally his fault, he wouls always try to tell me before and I would tell him not to worry about it, I already knew and had it accounted for, so he never thought to have to tell me this time.  Luckily I have been uber worried that I am going to miss a recurring debit or something that I have been checking regularly.  This has to be fixed soon!

The one that I have received was for one that came through after midnight this AM.  So mine apparently are for ones made today.   I made two purchased last evening that were not emailed to me so keep watching.  Something is shaking.  Also, some of us were told when we sent emails that we were being put on a list.  I do not know if that is why we are getting them before others or not.  If you haven't started receiving them by day's end then I would contact Paypal with your issue.  Not sure if this helps but I can truly understand your frustration since I was the one that started this forum and I am wanting to see it through to correction!

WHOO HOO! YAY! I got an immediate email for an online purchase today. I was on their "list" supposedly since I've called more than once. I do hope this means it is 100% fixed for everyone though! Bet they wouldn't tell us what the problem was, huh?! 

I agree, over a month to fix it is pretty bad. I'm willing to say this taught them how much we depend on the service though!

My paypal email came at 11:47am EST. My order receipt from the company came at 12:03pm. LOL!!! I love immediate emails and hope they are back to stay!

Fyi, made two purchase at lunch 7/27 and both email receipts were waiting in my inbox minutes later. Hope this if finally fixed 🙂

Rhondydaisy and others:

A request I made on one of my calls was to see if they could find a way to send back emails. My problem is that I use my email search feature a lot, too. It is next to impossible to search a keyword on the paypal site! If any of you call in again for any reason, add this/these requests so I'm not the only one asking. Thanks.

Woohoo!!! I took sand6's advice and went down to our cafeteria at work to spend $1.97 on some chocolate milk as a test -- and VOILA! An email by the time I got back to my desk!

 

It's been almost exactly 5 weeks to the day, but it does appear that email has returned.

 

I'm still absolutely stunned that it took so long, and working in the IT organization of my company, this would have been a huge priority to fix had it happened to us. I'd sure like to know what happened, but they'll probably never tell us the super-secrets of the inner workings of PayPal. I'm just glad it works now.

 

Way to go everyone! Keep up the pressure when they **bleep** up! 🙂

Sure would be nice to get back-email notifications for our records, but if it's working for the rest of you, it must be up and running for us all now. At least, I hope it is. I'll be using my card tonight. Crossing my fingers and toes...
