So recently I have been selling a virtual ebook in my online shop. Recently a buyer bought the ebook and then charged back by claiming it was an unauthorized transaction. After that I saw that my PayPal balance was negative (i don't keep money in PayPal). I'm not saying thr buyer is abusing the PayPal buyer protection policies but why should the money be taken from me when I already delivered the digital product (There's no way to get my product back). I tried contacting PayPal but there's absolutely no contact method that works. Please help. I wan't my money back.

An unauthorised transaction means that an account holders Paypal account was hacked and used without their consent by your ?buyer.
If Paypal check IP addresses etc and find in favour of the account holder then of course they are reimbursed.

However you would not lose out either as long as you met ALL the requirements of seller protection, so your best bet is to go and read up on it to make sure you were covered. However I think you will find that there is little seller protection for virtual/digital items.
