My mobile number changed a few years ago but I never updated my profile.
Now I can't log in as Paypal wants to send me a text on the old number to verify the account.
I've tried logging in from a different browser which doesn't work.
Also tried using the Help Chat system, but this also requires me to log in to proceed.
Tried ringing the help support number but spent ages going round and round in circles with the automated options, could not get to a point of speaking to an actual person.
Funny thing is, when I selected 'Ask the Community' to access this forum, it allowed me to log in to create this profile to do this!
Really stuck as to how to resolve. Would really appreciate if anyone can offer some help with this please?

Hello all!
We moved from Ireland to Oklahoma, and got new phone numbers, and the next time I try to log-in to Paypal the only option it has is to send a text or call for verification, but I can't log-in to change the number. What should I do?

Paypal is country specific so if you move countries you have to open another paypal account in the country you reside in and add an address / phone number / bank accounts / cards from within that country.
You should really withdraw any funds / resolve issues / remove cards and bank accounts / cancel any subscriptions and close the old Paypal account before you move countries. If you don't then you may have problems doing so once you have moved and may need to contact customer services for help to resolve things.

I originally made my Paypal account in America, then we moved to Ireland and it worked fine, then we moved back, and right after we changed our phone number Paypal required it to log-in.

I have a simple problem, that my friend is trying to open an account and he can't do that, and the reason is that when he opens the personal account, he asks for the phone number, and as soon as he puts it in its designated place, he does not receive the code to go through the next step. He tried several times to contact you, but he can only do that through an account in Paypal and I would very much like to help him
I hope to reply as soon as possible and solve this problem because it is very important to him

I need to log into my old PayPal account but whenever I try to sign in it tells me to verify that I own the phone number linked to that account, which I do not have access to anymore but I do know the full number.

If you go to the 'Help & Contact' icon on the PayPal website. Then if you click the 'Contact Us' link at the bottom of the page. From here, if you click the 'Password and Account Access' option, then 'Login Problems'. On the next page, you will see a 'Call Us' option. You do not need to be logged in to use this feature.
