My mobile number changed a few years ago but I never updated my profile.
Now I can't log in as Paypal wants to send me a text on the old number to verify the account.
I've tried logging in from a different browser which doesn't work.
Also tried using the Help Chat system, but this also requires me to log in to proceed.
Tried ringing the help support number but spent ages going round and round in circles with the automated options, could not get to a point of speaking to an actual person.
Funny thing is, when I selected 'Ask the Community' to access this forum, it allowed me to log in to create this profile to do this!
Really stuck as to how to resolve. Would really appreciate if anyone can offer some help with this please?

I cannot log in to my account because I can't pass verification due to old phone number that I don't have anymore. I have tried *everything* from resetting the password to developer login, calling them etc - nothing has worked. Do I need to make a new account?!

Hi, according to my credit card company (EnterCard), PayPal's implementation of SCA is insufficient. They require that every merchant in the EU or ESS updates their payment system in such a way that every payment is verified by Swedish "Mobilt Bank-id". They also claim that payments with PayPal are processed in the UK and therefore must fullfill this requirement.
Here is a page written in Swedish about the new rules:
https://www.entercard.se/konsumentinfo/sca/
What's the chance of this happening?
Best,
Magnus

I have tried everything and I cannot log in to my account to update the information. I cannot even update my password because i get a "we cannot be sure it's you message". Customer service is not working, I tried twice and both time I had them hang up on me.
Any other ideas?
Seems that this whole phone number thing is creating massive problems for your customers. I need access to my account. An account that contains SENSITIVE INFORMATION.

As many others, I do have a problem with login into my account. I am stuck on phone verification as the number on my account is the old one I do not use anymore. Will there be any solution for PayPal users?! I can't even write to customer centre as it is possible only for logged in!
