I was upset about a scam that I fell into that used Paypal payment and I got nowhere with customer service. I used the unauthorized activity also to get something done and when they denied my claim because I actually did make that payment, they closed my case. I eventually ran out of ideas how to fix it, and called customer service again and stated that I filed it in error and why. The representative was very helpful and changed my claim status and she is investigating the fraudulent online business. I did receive an email from Paypal verifying the claim status was changed, no longer unauthorized activity, and now open once more. Call and explain what you did.

You are only allowed 1 dispute per transaction so the only way you can get a second dispute opened is to contact Paypal (when and if you can) and see if they will open a second dispute for you.
They may decline citing policies but if you say you made a mistake then they might open a second dispute for you.
If not then if you funded your paypal payment via a credit card then consider contacting your card issuer and see if they will help you with a chargeback?
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
