Long Delays in Downloading History

We have been using the Download History facility everyday for our daily tranaction report. In the past week it has started taking far too long to process. Previously it took under 5 minutes, now it is taking several hours and sometimes much longer. Sometimes it times out over 24 hours and cancels the request. This is becoming very frustrating as we update our accounting records daily.
Does anyone have any experience and or advice?

I contacted CS again yesterday, only to be told to clear out my cache as it was likely to be a problem with my PC...!!!
'....If the flow on the website is not working, it is usually caused by issues within your internet browser so I would suggest to delete your browsing history, cache and cookies and if possible try another device....'
Completely useless reply. I pointed out that the download history fails to work on 3 PC's here, each one has been tried on IE, Chrome and Firefox. I reminded them that CS already admitted at the end of last month that there was a problem with the server, that they were working on a fix and apologised profusely.
I still awaiting a response....

This afternoon (GMT) it took 1:15h to download the data of 10 transactions as csv.
I don´t know what the problem is, because all data exist in their database and it shouldn´t be so complicated to write a conversion routine that shows the transaction data as a list i.e.
Date | Name | Subject | Gross | Fee | Net | From Email
or whatever the user wants.
This list on the screen and it´s ok, no need of downloads etc.
I have the same at my bank account.
Just mark the lines I want with the mouse, hit a hotkey and all the data enter Excel, ready!

The download option is a new one for me. And I've been experimenting with it. IF I log in as myself (a sub-user account), the download option doesn't kick in. There's a download button that goes no where. BUT if I log in as the main account, then the download option appears and actually works.
[Now working with our small file in Excell to see what we can do with the data.]

We are having the same problem. We only download 20-30 transactions a day but we are using the file for QB import and even with this small number of transactions, it takes an hr a day to keep the books up. This used to be easy and fast. The slow downloads started happening shortly after using the new "pretty " site. I've switched to clasic site, but because you can only do 1 download a day, ive been unable to determine if the new site is the issue.
Has anyone heard from Paypal today?

I have a PRO account and a Business account (the older account) both doing approximately the same number of transactions per day. I have also opened a case with PP but there is no response from them that makes any sense. I will say the delayed download process started with my business account when they switched me to the new user interface. I still get my PRO account download in seconds, but the business acocount download takes up to 24 hours for what used to take seconds. My PRO account is still on the old user interface. I was wondering if anybody else is seeing a delay in the downloads based on the user interface they are using from PP? Maybe that is the smoking gun (just a thought)

I have been trying to download history now for 3 weeks and everyt ime I get the answer (several days later) download failed. I have telephoned paypal who appear to be aware of some problem but very non commital but they did say that they would do a three month download for me and email it to me. Several hours ltare I receive an email saying download failed. I have now telephoned paypal twice and atempted 6 downloads all of which has not resulted in a download. My accounts are now jumping all over me for the information as it means a whole shed load of work if they cant pull the neccesary information form the CSV file. Very disappointed in paypal. Not very professional.
