My "Insights"window is gone???

When I log into my PayPal account on my desktop the normal Home layout is missing the "Insights" window that is normally on the left, which shows my balance, etc. It is just a blank area now with the regular stuff (recent transactions, etc) on the right side of the screen. When I log into my PayPal with my mobile device the insights window and everything is as it normally is?   So is PayPal having trouble with it's desktop version or is it me?? ... View more

Getting REALLY tired of the "review" when I try to...

Okay, this is getting really really old and I want to know how I can get it to stop!?   I use the instant withdraw option and it seems that for the past three or four months now I am getting a random "review" delay of 24 hours when I withdraw funds. This doesn't happen every time but lately it seems like it is about every third or forth withdraw. The amount doesn't seem to matter. I took out a little over $300 the other day without issue, then another $75 out later that day without delay... Then the next day another $200, no problem, then another $100 and BAM! It gets slammed with a review. The next day, no problem, the day after, two withdraws, BOTH under "review".....   It is completely random as far as I can see and as far as I know there is no reason for it. I have had a $2500 withdraw go right through, no problem and then a couple of hours later had a $35 withdraw held for "review"...    I have no open cases, no issues with clients or customers....    I did more than $75,000 through PayPal last year and this is the treatment I get? Nothing on my account has changed, It's the same bank account I have always used. No name changes, no email changes... nothing.   So what the %^%$ is going on????? Why do they keep holding my withdraws for review????    And please don't spew that "all withdraws are subject to review" garbage. I know what it says in the PayPal scriptures... what it is NOT saying is WHY??? Why are my withdraws constantly and seemingly randomly under "review"?  ... View more

Why does Paypal keep delaying random withdrawals??...

Lately I have been getting a ton of "24 hour delay" on my instant withdrawals and it is getting really annoying. It seems completely random. Everything will transfer just fine one day then the next, boom, a delay.  Then after a day or so I will try transferring again and it will go through instantly without any problem. Then two or three days later it I will try and transfer and it will come up with the delay again.   Why is this happening? Does PayPal just not want my business?? These random and seemingly pointless delays seem like a poor business model since they will soon no longer be the primary payment method for eBay.    Can someone explain why this is happening and is there anything I can do to stop it? It doesn't seem to have anything to do with amounts. I transferred nearly $1400.00 a couple of days ago without any delay but tried to transfer $54.00 a few minutes ago and it slammed another delay on me.     ... View more

Buyer opened Item Not Received on Overseas Order??...

I had someone purchase something from me, he lives in Italy and I'm in the US. I send the item off and the tracking follows it all the way to the Italian Customs facility, where it says that it has been "processed" on the 9th..... then after that, nothing. Now he says that he hasn't gotten it and first opened a dispute and now has escalated it to a claim. So now my account is in the minus due to PayPal "holding" the money (which is a practice that makes NO sense at all) and I am stuck sitting here and wondering if I will ever get my money released??? Since he escalated it I can't even contact PayPal to express my anger at this development and I have NO IDEA how long it is going to stay in this status? What if the tracking never progresses further? The Italian Postal System is notoriously bad about tracking so as far as I know he got the item a long time ago and is taking advantage of the lack of delivery confirmation.   I tried calling PayPal but they had a hold time of nearly 2 hours...   WTF am I supposed to do at this point??? ... Buyer trying to return something...

I recently sold something privately (not through eBay or any other similar site) To someone and now he is telling me he wants to return it? This item was sold to him as is. It is an older piece of medical equipment and was sold to him under the understanding that I do not know how to work it, or even whether or not it works. Through our Facebook conversations it was made abundantly clear that it was missing software and that I had no way to test it or check whether or not it was working. He dickered me down on the price, saying that since I didn’t know whether or not it worked he was only willing to take a chance for set amount of money. I agreed and sold him the item. After only five days he opened up a case with his credit card company for the item not showing up. PayPal took action and froze the payment money, which was entirely reversed after I showed them tracking information showing that it was delivered. My money was returned to me via the PayPal seller guarantee yet he apparently has not closed the dispute with his CC. Now this buyer is contacting me and telling me that the item doesn’t work, that it needs software, and some other components and is now threatening to force PayPal to give him his money back. My question is, can he open up a case to try and get his money back??? He is being very unreasonable and seems to have forgotten the fact that it was made very clear that the item was being sold as is and that I offered no guarantees that it worked. ... View more

Can't seem to add another user???

I have been trying all day to get my husband shown as another user on the account and went to the "add a user" page. It shows that he is supposed to have a user ID, which works fine... but when I try to put in a password for him it just keeps coming up as red with a silly little triangle/exclamation point symbol next to the password, as if I am doing something wrong. However it doesn't tell me what I am doing wrong????    All it says is that a password must be 8 to 20 characters long, which it is.    What is going on? What am I missing?? ... View more

Holding payment?!?!?!!!!

Alright, let me start by saying that I have been using PayPal for many years and have done more than $100,000 worth of business through them without any issues. That being said, today I find that any payments coming in through the account are being held until proof of delivery is shown?????   The reason, they state in their bot generated email, is, quote... "We’ve placed the money for this transaction on hold because we noticed that you have had recent disputes raised against you or transactions which were recently reversed by PayPal."   The disputes they are refering too I assume are refunds that I had to send to ebay customers. Now anyone familiar with ebay and their buyer-bias system knows that when I buyer opens a dispute then you as the seller are given few choices to resolve any issue, the most prevailant being a refund. In my case, two of my recent transactions were sent but never arrived and were listed as lost by the post office. They both opened a "item not recieved" case at my request and I refunded them. Ya see, the main issue with the ebay system is that if a seller initiates a refund or cancel transaction request we are given two options to choose for the refund; either the item is "out of stock" or is "lost/broken". Once the refund goes through on such a case then it is considered a strike against the sellers account. As with baseball, too many strikes and you are out.    The only way to avoid a strike against your account is to ask the customer to open a request/case and then refund them when the option to do so is given. It closes the case and there is no strike against the sellers account. Don't ask me why their system is designed that way, but it is. A seller cannot initiate a refund for any reason without it being a strike against them.   The most recent refund I had to give was to a customer in Mexico who purchased some rifle magazines from me through ebay. He purchased and paid, but when trying to send to him I found that it was illegal for me to send him the magazines. He disputed this, attempted to get me to falsify the shipping invoice, etc... I wouldn't do it, he opened an item not recieved case and I refunded him.   Now, apparently PayPal believes that I am somehow not sending items to customers and they are holding money as it comes in.    This is unacceptable. I have been a customer and account holder for a long time here and I will not have my payments held. I need to know who I need to speak to to have restriction lifted? I have called today about it but got nothing but a run around from people with less than decent english skills. How long is this going to go on? How long will PayPal hold my transaction payments??? and how do I talk to someone in a US call center about it???     ... View more

Instant withdraws???

A week or two ago I went to transfer some of my ebay income from my paypal account into my bank account, like I do on a regular basis, but this time it gave me the option for an instant transfer into my bank for an additional .25 cents. I tried it and sure enough, it worked like a charm and the money was in my bank within a couple of minutes. I was really pleased to see this option as I enjoy the same type of arrangement with my Square account for my retail shop.   But since there I have transfered monies a few times and that option of instant transfer has not been there again?? Was this a one time thing? A option they just tried one day and don't offer it anymore? Why was I given that option and now I am not??   Pam ... View more
