@mtkouch  Wow, this is embarrassing that nobody replied to your post the day your Auction ended.  Well first, in order to list an item usually eBay requires that your PayPal account be linked and verified so the fact that you have an Auction ending makes that part seem okay.  Next, if you have the PayPal box checked on the item AND your email address in the little window then when the Buyer pays the $$ will go directly to your PayPal account. Next, when the Buyer pays AND you see the transaction in your PayPal account that it is paid for you pack it and ship it.  You can print labels through eBay - PayPal and get a discount on First Class & Priority Mail shipping plus USPS offers Parcel Select which is a lower cost method to ship but no discount for Sellers. New Sellers can have their $$ held up to 21 days but if you use tracking (always use tracking btw) then when the package shows Delivered the $$ can be released within 3 - 5 business days. ... @Goteșeanu  Sounds like the Buyer knows how to scam the system.  In eBay's case an item has to be returned in the same condition you shipped it in although that is hard to prove.  You could call PayPal and ask them if that is also the policy they have for returns.  So ar eyou saying you did NOT get all of the items back or you got a damaged package back or you got damaged item(s) back?  Your post was not clear on wha tyou got back so please explain. ... @nguyeus_fhw1z  Normally when you have the Immediate Payment required the Buyer HAS to pay immediately.  Be careful, iphones are big scam items.  If the Buyer messages or texts you saying they need you email address to process the payment DON'T GIVE IT TO THEM ... that is a scam.  Also, you may get a message that looks like it is from PayPal saying the phone is paid for and it is okay to ship ...DON'T SHIP until YOU see the $$ in your PayPal account AND it does not say Pending!  You item is one of THE biggest scam targets on eBay so be very, very, very careful. If they do not pay in 2 days you can process a UPI (Unpaid Item) in eBay's Resolution Center ... then wait 4 days for the Buyer to pay, if they don't then you can close the case and relist.  And again, MAKE SURE you have the Immediate Payment box checked on the item listing form if you Relist it. ... Re: Refunding a buyer on eBay

@kasperkes02  I read your post and am a little confused.  Let's try some details.  If a Buyer processes a Return request through eBay's Resolution Center you get a message to accept it with some options on shipping.  If accepted you wait for the item to be returned within the time the claim allows.  Okay, now, the item comes back, what I've seen is a message from eBay that you simply click on and the refund is completed with the Buyer ... I have never run into any "holds" on $$ during a properly processed Return claim. Next, do you tend to drain your PayPal account of $$ so what might have happened is you don't have enoough in the account to cover the returns?  If that is the case I believe PayPal can dip in to your checking account for the $$.  I typically keep a good amount in PayPal in the unlikely event of a refund on a higher dollar item. I've only done a few refunds on returned items and have never run into the situation you describe .. if they are holding $$ I am unaware of it and have enough in the account to refund the Buyer ... ... @toonsign  I give you Kudos on that one ... I too would rather get the item back even if I pay the shipping then let the Buyer keep the item.  Your description of the Buyer's Bank processing the claim is a new one to me.  I sell on eBay too ... and have never heard of that.  Most claims are processed either through eBay's Resolution Center within 30 days of delivery or PayPal's within 180 days of delivery.  Nice that PayPal honored your Seller Protection. I agree with you on this point too, "2  months!?!?".  That Buyer is destined for the BBL (Buyer Blocked List). I doubt the Buyer will ever send the cap back ... they are probably already planning their next scam and maybe this was a low cost test run before they try a bigger one ... hope they get caught. ... @dirving  First & foremost, read @PayPal_Andy 's reply, he is direct with PayPal.  For future reference Buyers cannot cancel a purchase on eBay, only the Seller can.   You can message the Seller through eBay messaging with a polite message and formally requestion the cancellation and just that.  don't try to create a story just state you need to cancel the order.  The Seller does NOT have to honor the request but by using eBay Messaging your request is on file.  If they ship anyway then you can process a return claim in either eBay's Resolution Center or PayPal's (but not both at the same time).  However, you would have to pay the return shipping. It may have been easier to return the one your wife purchased if she bought it locally, then the one you purchased through eBay ... just a thought. ... View more
