LETS BOYCOTT PAYPAL !!!!! So as a good seller for years. As a seller who has paid thousands of dollars to EBay and Papal. I say we get them where it hurts. They want to hold our money. Lets stop using them. I'm sure there are other sources. If they edit our comments and links, I will start my own forum. This is not fair. We helped build this company to where it is today. Now this is the thanx we get?? Just like the BIG BAIL out. We bailed out the banks and the companies and they're response was to cut all out credit lines in half if not all together. To Newbie, From everything I have heard in addition to the writing on the wall, it does appear that ebay owns paypal. When your buyer pays you, inform them that you will ONLY leave them feedback after they have left you feedback, as you will not get paid without feedback. Although many people HAVE received feedback and their funds were still on hold. I can say from my experience, anything goes... who knows, they seem to be making up new rules as it goes. In any case, you have to get it through to your buyers that immediate feedback is needed. Then If your funds are not released you need to bug paypal and ebay. Good luck! ... View more

I am also retired, but on a disability, so I relied on selling on ebay to get through the month. Now I found out I have to have surgery also which is causing me to pay medical bills. Hi Femsol,thanks for your response. I have actually been not selling on ebay for more than a month. I don't have manufactured products, just my own art work and used books. I feel really worn out from all of this and worn down. I have registered at letssuepaypal and I have tried ebid and etsy. I don't really plan on staying with ebay, but the point is is that I need to sell now, not 2 months from now. Its unfortunate and I don't like it, but I still will be in the fight about this. Hi Femsol, I do feel like I am giving into ebay, as I have to sell this month due to medical bills. I tried to sell on 2 other sites and have only lost money. I joined the letsuepaypal, but last time I went there, nothing worked. Even though I am giving in, I haven't forgotten. I never thought I would give in, but I truely have come to my wits end and I would rather be upfront about it as I have been very vocal since this whole fiasco started.  They messed me up right before Christmas and I will never forget that as I cried!!!!!!! I have seen this whole thing destroying a lot of peoples lives and' they are enraged, rightfully so. Me too. LazerTurkey, Yes this exact scenerio happened to me. I had been selling for a long time,100% feedback, lots of feedback points, no disputes then WHAMMY out of nowhere the week before Christmas, they put my money on hold. I did what everyone else did,called & yelled,found this place to see if others were affected. So I had to close my store, removed my listings, have not listed anything since and a few weeks ago I get a message from paypal saying they are lifting my hold due to consistently good service. So I am guessing good service/performance means not selling on ebay?????? I am finding I am not selling on other auction sites and will have to return to ebay, I have to get more income. Hey wizzin your right! I didn.t even think about that aspect, but there are plenty of scammers out there like sharks circling prey, just waiting for opportunities. One of the problems I am having is finding a place to sell. Nothing is selling for me on ebids and I need the extra income. I hate the thought of going back to ebay, but its looking pretty dismal and I may have to go back out of necessity. Anyone have any hot auction sites???????? ... View more

Hi Katieh, I am having the same trouble not selling a thing on ebids that would have sold on ebay. Its frustrating as I don't want to sell on ebay anymore because ebay and paypal are the same company from what I understand. I also need to make money! I stupidly paid the 49.95 for a lifetime membership, thinking I would make it back, but have not made one penny! Does anyone know of a auction site you can actually get bids on????????????? ...
