A person who owes me money wants to pay me via PayPal.  We both have PayPal accounts, but I have never used mine this way before -- all I done is pay for online purchases via PayPal.    Is there any cost to either of us if he sends me money from his linked checking account and I transfer these funds out of my PayPal account and into my linked checking account.??.  ...  I am responding to the question about getting a merchant account (account that I can accept Visa/MC).  I have a different business and I have had my merchant account for 15 years to handle the Visa/MC payments. A person can get a merchant account by a variety of merchant service companies.  So I did not get this service just for my eBay sales.  I advise that you contact your personal bank and see who they recommend. This can be a business that has frauds that collect all your financial information...so be very selective on the company that you select.  Ask for and get in print all their fees and service charges.  You have to remember that these people are fee based. ... Hi teacher, I am quitting too. I have 1490 pts and 100% feedback and they also held my funds. You can't listen to any reasons paypal gives for holding your funds because they are downright LYING! None of it applied to me and no one at paypal gave me a straight answer as to why. Remember, besides Craig's list there is ibids,ebids,ioffer and etsy to sell on.
