I need a bit of help if one of you have time, a guy sent me some money.. did not wait on my invoice, - I'm not sure how he sent it but it don't have a "print shipping label" option, and no fee was taken out 😛 so... If you guys want your money, take your fee's and trade me the "Print Shipping Label" button 🙂 LOL. Honestly, it was a sale of Goods.. and I could really use that button 😛 Transaction ID 4PB37026FH960602V

liz- What it sounds like is that your buyer sent you a personal payment. That would explain why there's no option to print a shipping label (because what are you sending for a gift payment?) and that's also why there's no fees. You'll probably want to give us a call and have us reverse it (or you can refund it, but we'll retain the fixed $.30 portion of the fee). Then invoice them and have them pay right. Plus this way you'll also retain your Seller Protection (as it doesn't apply on personal payments).

could i get an opinion on this:
I wanted to buy virtual goods online. After posting on the sellers thread, an imposter added me on MSN. He impersonated the real seller (through 2 forms; 1. having an identical MSN to the real seller, the only difference is second and third letters are switched between his and the real seller; its misleading 2. during our conversation, he stated he was the real seller). Because of this, he coerced me into sending what appears to be an authorized payment to him. However, had he stated he wasn't the real seller, I never would sent this payment.
His actions solely didn't trick me, but have violated two parts of section 9, Restricted Activities, of the user agreement: 1. part f. "Provide false, inaccurate or misleading information" 2. part g. "Send or receive what we reasonably believe to be potentially fraudulent funds"
I understand paypal doesn't offer buyer protection to virtual goods, but it doesn't offer seller protection either. This guy is a scammer and doesn't need to be using paypal.
Should i file an unathorized dispute?

wildcat, of course if you got ripped off like that you can file a dispute.
Paypal will investigate the delivery of the virtual goods and make a decision 😛
That seller will probably have to provide invoices/product key to verify he sent you the product, which if he didn't then you get your money back. Definately try, don't give up and let him get away.. He'll keep doing it to others.

Hi wildcat1337, thank you for your patience.
The situation you describe is a very frustrating one. This person tricked you into sending him a direct payment. Because you actually did carry out the steps of making the payment, it would not be considered unauthorized, and a claim would not be won.
In a situation where someone convinces you to make a virtual payment or a person to person payment, purchase protection would not apply. Purchase protection is only available in situations where tracking could reasonably be expected. In a personal transaction or a goods payment, tracking is not an expectation.
If you feel that you have been defrauded by this seller, your best bet is to take all the information you've gathered about the interaction and file a police report, or look into one of these resources:
- Internet Crime Complaint Center - http://www.ic3.gov
- National Fraud Information Center - http://www.fraud.org
- Department of Justice - http://www.onguardonline.gov
You can also learn more about protecting yourself from fraud here:
- PayPal Security Center - http://www.paypal.com/securitycenter
You can definitely email PayPal through the Contact Us section and report the seller by explaining what occurred. Even though coverage is not present for your transactions, his practices can be examined, and the types of questions lizgrisham1990 mentioned will be reviewed. If enough reports or evidence become apparent, we can prevent him from continuing those practices.
I hope this helps.
