I am not receiveing an alert when money is sent to me.

When a family member sends me money, I receive no alert, either by email or by text, that money has been sent to me. Both my email address and cell number in my account settings are correct. She types in a message when she sends the money. Am I missing something simple here? Thank you.

Emails are automatically sent out anytime a payment is sent or received through PayPal, so I'm sorry to hear you're not receiving notifications when you receive a payment. Have you checked your email's junk or spam folders? Sometimes our notifications can get caught up there. If you have and you still dont see any, please reach out to our Customer Support teams by clicking "Contact" at the bottom of any PayPal page to review this a bit further.

Never anything in Spam folder, which I always checked daily before clearing it out. I guess I'll try the telephone support number as none of the virtual assistant things work.

I'm sorry to hear that @KeepOnTruckin. The last place I just thought of you may want to double-check is your blocked contacts list in your email's settings. After that, when you click "Contact" at the bottom of any PayPal page, then "Message Us" to reach Customer Support.

Thanks again. I found nothing blocked in my email, and then there is the fact that I get no mobile text notifications.
When I send money -as opposed to receiving it-I get a text instantaneously informing me that the money has been sent, how much it was, and to whom it was sent.

@KeepOnTruckin, welcome back! You can set up notifications to alert you via SMS in your settings when you send, request, receive a payment and more. Have you set up your notifications to Receive a payment as well? If so, your best bet may be to reach out to our Customer Support teams to investigate that and your email issues a bit further.
