Hi all. Due to some processing error on my bank's end (that has now been resolved), my paypal account was thrown into the negatives. Upon trying to add funds to it, I discovered that the card I previously had listed no longer exists, and added my existing card with which I tried to cover the negative. However, I run into this error:
No matter what I do, the same error keeps appearing (whether I am on PC, mobile, whatever have you). I have sufficient funds on the bank account the card links to, so that is not the issue. I have also been checking the status of paypal servers, which say "up", so that is also not the issue.
If anyone knows how to fix this, help would be much appreciated.

A family member was able to send money to my account and unlock it, while my own card payment was immediately declined. Posting this here in case anyone else runs into the same problem.

For some reason the image is not showing up so I will try to add it again
And just in case it doesn't work again, the error message says "We're sorry, things don't appear to be working right now. Try again later."

Ways to clear a negative balance.
1. Transfer funds from your bank account via the add funds function.
2. The quickest and easiest way is to get a mate or family member to send a payment via the friends / family option. As long as they don't fund it with a card it should be free. (That is if the f/f option is available in your country).
3. Via a card over the phone with paypal.
4. Buy something and Paypal will normally add the debt to that payment during checkout when you authorise the purchase.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Hi.
Like I've already said, I cannot add funds because of the error on paypal's end.
My account is also now locked from completing further transactions, because of the negative balance. None of the solutions you offered are viable.
Thanks.

Hi.
My bank account is functioning normally. I have checked through everything in the resolution center and nothing worked. This is the entire reason why I am posting the problem on here instead. I would like to avoid needing to physically call the support center. I have never heard of a company not offering online customer support before and it is extremely tedious. Thank you for your help but unfortunately the problem is not resolved.

So my advice on getting a family member to send you funds worked, when not only did you state my advice was not viable when it was, you then marked your own post as the solution when I had already advised you to do exactly that earlier. So, you're welcome !!!
