OK, after much searching, found this information

Undoubtedly if you click the wrong button, you have entered into a BILLING AGREEMENT with ebay shipping.

Follow these steps, when you get to the billing you will see

Ebay shipping - there will be an option to cancel the agreement...that fixes the problem

How do I cancel a Billing Agreement?
Question : Answer : Use the following steps to cancel a Billing Agreement:

  1. Log in to your PayPal account.
  2. Click Profile at the top of the page.
  3. Click My money.
  4. Click Update in the My preapproved payments section.
  5. Select the merchant's name or email address.
  6. Click Cancel.

I have been on with paypal and ebay...no one knew anything..

You can use Firefox and you will get the old screen..I know, it is very frustrating.  I can't believe this hasn't been fixed yet.

After you take the member of management responsible for rolling Ebay shipping out without testing to the gallows.

Please consider the following whatever you do:

1. Shipping labels (records) must show CUSTOMER NAME, ADDRESS, INVOICE # so that when questioned by the IRS over a Shipping deduction, I can prove why shipping was purchased and pull up related transaction.

2. It is a wonderful bonus that the shipping transaction be linked to the payment transaction (this didn't happen yesterday and a week ago) I very much appreciate tracking information updating in the payment transaction.

3. Consider keeping website customers who use Paypal PRO etc but not Ebay separate. I'd really rather not be integrated in the  Ebay system.

Too many steps and it is not remembering the login.  No choice of where to bill shipping from at time of purchase either from balance or CC.

FAIL!

Loved the shipping platform.  However, it did take a moment to get used to.

Hi Olivia,

My apologies if any of my points duplicate previous posts, but with so many pages of replies, I am just going to throw my thoughts out there.

Here are my objections the retirement of PayPal shipping and the change to eBay as the only shipping platform.

  1. eBay is an unreliable glitch-a-day mess, if PayPal shipping is permanently retired, there is no back up which means no shipping service, This is unacceptable to sellers and should be unacceptable to eBay corp..as well but it is apparently not on eBay corps radar.

  2. eBay's script reading customer support is abominable, when glitches arise it seems like sellers better understand issues than does eBay's support staff. I can not imagine trying to get through a shipping glitch with eBay's script reading support staff.

  3. Shipping has been bouncing back and forth between eBay and PayPal all week... I am guessing, but I believe this is likely due to the numerous glitches which sellers seem to be experiencing with eBay shipping. See my points 1 and 2 above.

  4. eBay shipping's seller to buyer messaging is limited to 600 characters. This is woefully inadequate. eBay wants buyers to rate sellers on communication, then makes it impossible for sellers to clearly establish buyer shipping expectations in messaging by limiting messaging space. This is setting sellers up for failure.

  5. eBay corp. preaches consistency and always justifies changes by citing industry standards. eBay corp.. established a standard with PayPal shipping and longer messaging space. Why does eBay corp.. fail to practice what they preach and allow the equivalent messaging space in eBay that they allowed in PayPal?

  6. I accept PayPal on sites other than eBay. I will not process shipping labels for non eBay transactions through eBay, no way, no how. This is non negotiable for my business.

  7. If it becomes necessary to open an account and pay the necessary fee for Stamps.com or Endicia to process shipping for non eBay sales then I will take all my eBay shipping business to that third party provider as well. Both eBay and PayPal will lose 100% of  my shipping business. Is that the kind of change eBay corp. is really looking for?

  8. If eBay corp. permanently retires PayPal shipping and forces us to eBay for shipping, I see no need to continue to offer PayPal on my non eBay listings. Please let eBay corp. make it's mind up soon which way this is going, as I would be happy to remove PayPal from my non eBay listings effective immediately.

  9. eBay corporation's CEO, John Donahoe promised sellers we would receive 60 day notice of seller facing changes. There was no such advance announcement of this change....what gives?

  10. eBay corporation's CEO also promised sellers that no changes would be implemented during the Holiday selling season, so why did this change suddenly take effect in November?

  11. As it stands, in reward for all the confusion and aggravation, I will be processing all of my Priority Mail shipping directly through USPS for the rest of the year. Perhaps the lost business will be the 'noise' eBay corp. finds harder to ignore.

You'd think a company with as much revenue as Ebay would be able to hire a software team that can make dreams come true like Walt Disney. Jesus christ, it's the biggest cluster F I've ever seen on a web platform.

It seems that ever since eBay bought Paypal, the integration has been horrendous.

There are seemingly 4 types of customers that use paypal. Casual non-ebay users that just toss cash back and forth for random things, Casual Ebay users selling a few things, Ebay Store Merchants, and non-Ebay large scale online stores.

I mentaion that because I think Paypal is having an extremely difficult time in making the payment/shipping experience work well for all parties involved. While I do sell similar items on eBay from time to time, I am 99% a non-eBay, hosted button online (SHOPPING CART) merchant with my own website processing between 15-20 transactions a day. From day one I never felt that Paypal's shipping service was tailored to me. At best, it's great for people who have to print labels for maybe 4-5 daily transactions. The number of fields that has to be re-entered over and over again, the individual page reloads, the 20-transaction limit per page in "recent activity"... ALL of it makes printing at my volume a complete failure.

On the other hand, it looks like the Multi-Order Shipping option would have been perfect for me. However, I found out through much frustration with the CSRs and ultimately someone who knew better, that MOS only works for high volume eBay sellers as the non-eBay transactions database was not integrated and therefore did not pull through shopping cart details.

I believe the new eBay shipping platform, as the single shipping solution for ALL paypal users was a step in the right direction IF it was intended to correct some of these database seggregation issues. I only had a short time to play around with it before they reverted so I couldn't test to see if any of this stuff was corrected.

Bottom line, why can't this be easier for high volume users... you know, the people who pay the MOST money to Paypal/Ebay annually?

-Fix MOS for ALL users.

-Allow an option for shipping charges to be calculated based on USPS server lookups JUST LIKE IT WORKS ON EBAY!!!! In other words, why are you forcing me to estimate shipping charges for the entire country when the actual charges vary wildly based on distance?

- Even if I'm forced to print each transaction one at a time, let me choose more defaults. Let me choose USPS Priority as my default so I don't have to select it 20 times a day.

- Let me choose defaults for what happens after I hit "buy label". For example, if I hit "buy label", of COURSE I want to print it. Why do I have to select print label after that. Who buys a bunch of labels and waits to print. After printing, let me choose a default that brings me to my next transaction in the active list or at LEAST back to my transactions list.

So many users decided to have a cry baby freakout when the new platform arrived becuase they might have to spend 10 minutes figuring out how to do what they previously did. The message you are sending is that they shouldn't try making improvements because ANY CHANGE, even for the better, is a nightmare.

Does anyone read this stuff? I'm spending way more time researching alternative payment processing and shipping services. Paypal is seriously making me consider closing up my business because I'm getting an ulcer.
