unclaimed payment

I made a purchase on Ebay last week and now the status of my payment through Paypal is unclaimed. The money has been taken out of my bank account and I have tried contacting the seller to make sure he has received the payment but have not heard anything back from him yet.

Am I to assume he has received my payment since it has been taken from my bank account? Should I cancel the unclaimed payment and wait to see if I get reimbursed and pay it again?

tmgrood-  A status of 'unclaimed' means the money is just sitting there waiting for the seller to claim it.  There's a couple of possibilities for this, the most common one being that the seller's email address isn't confirmed.  You need a confirmed email address to accept a payment.  They would want to either go through the process of confirming it on their own, or they can call our customer service and we can help out.

If they never claim the payment, it would eventually be returned back to your PayPal account balance...but of course you also wouldn't get your item.
