Unauthorized payment to Meta Platforms (Facebook ireland) and Paypal denied dispute

SSo today suddenly I had two unauthorized automatic payments to Meta Platforms INC (email says Facebook ireland???) amounting to $354.72! I checked my Facebook account and there were NO activities logged.

It's no small sum and when I raised a dispute to PAYPAL, PAYPAL denied the dispute and deemed it legit (within an hour). Help! how can I resolve this???

This is currently happening to me, my Facebook profile hacked and I've 3500 taken through meta ads charged to my PayPal account and my credit card connected to that account. Facebook and meta will not engage as my account no longer has my details and has vanished , that is if you are lucky enough to actually know someone at Meta, otherwise good luck getting hold of any contact details! PayPal keep saying they're pre authorized payments. I can show PayPal my meta account with none of these payments on, I have reported it to the police,I have cancelled everything and still they keep refusing the cancel transactions on the resolution center. This is a total scam. The police recommended the financial ombudsman which will be my next call.

meta charge me £4 two days ago, i just closed the Facebook account along with all ad accounts. i think it is not paypal that scamming us, it is facebook that scamming us. otherwise think about this every one get the same issue, first facebook account gets hacked then the hacker start the ads, nothing else just ad at random site.

Facebook meta try to **bleep** us, im going to complain about facebook.

LISTEN UP! I sent a message to Facebook regarding Metapay taking money from all of us through PayPal! I hope they contact me back. I informed them there are hundreds of us this has happened to and PayPal refuses to refund our losses.

I'm in the same situation, a total of $300 for Facebook Ads virtual goods. Has your problem been solved, friend?

This has just happened to me - if PayPal are aware of this, why are they still allowing Meta Platforms Inc. to take payments? I just had 3 taken from my account totalling £112. I filed it under the resolution centre, but now I realise it's actually nothing to do with the real Meta, so there won't be a resolution there. One payment for £40 was refunded immediately, but there is a case still open on one for £40 and another for £33.95.

It's unbelievable that this whole issue with the Fake Facebook/Meta still exists. I'm thinking about how to make this better known,

Hi all

I loaded my credit card to Paypal yesterday to pay someone. Today I am getting charged for these Facebook amounts and have had to cancel my credit card. This is the only account online I have given these details on and I do not even have a Facebook profile or account. I rang Paypal and they said there is nothing on their side, yet my details have been hacked through Paypal. When will Paypal acknowlldege this and sort out their security?

Many thanks
