Fraudulent GrubHub Seamless Charge

This evening I was charged $99.49 for a GrubHub Seamless charge from San Francisco (I live in Colorado). I went to Paypal's Resolution Center to dispute it and was notified that, "We're sorry, you can't file a case on this type of transaction." Anyone else have this issue or know what to do? Thanks!

I was on vacation in North Carolina when I received notification of a pending delivery from Popeye's - in Chicago! I tried to stop the payment before delivery - both thru Grubhub and Paypal without any success. Total stonewall from both companies.

Same thing just happened to me yesterday. I haven't used my grubhub account in 2 years. I live in California and the order was for 68 dollars and sent to the campus of Ohio State University. I was still asleep when the order happened so I wasn't able to catch the order before it was delivered. I google map'd the address and it showed the address to the student housing on campus. I contacted grubhub and they said that they will send the claim to their fraud specialist. it has been 24 hours and I haven't heard from them since. I contacted my bank and since they said the transaction hasn't hit on their end yet then they couldn't help me until it does. I contacted PayPal and they said they will keep on eye on it for me and if it does close then they'll investigate the matter further. I changed my passwords to all my accounts and took out all my information on GH to prevent any further transactions. I guess now it's a waiting game to see if the PP charges complete and if it does complete then I'll dispute the charges with my bank. PP customer service was excellent so far.  GH customer service was not helpful at all. I got a call center overseas and it seems that they were going off a script the entire time and didn't have any resolutions other than sending it the fraud department.

I was eventually able to get Paypal to overturn their original denial and they issued a credit. I did change all passwords for Grubhub and Paypal and cancelled any related subscriptions. Over the weekend Grubhub finally responded that they had determined it was fraud and would issue a credit. They also stated "they" cancelled the subscription with Paypal. LOL I now see Amazon Prime now touting Grubhub as a member benefit. I don't think so.

Same happened to me. However did you noticed with GH when you try to reset password it gives you a different address (mine was a gmail address) and then no way to actually log in. The entire thing seems like a scam.

Same thing happened to me 2 days ago. I haven’t used grubhub in years. I caught it right away and called Grubhub. They refused to cancel the orders and let the them both be delivered. I disputed the charges with PayPal and PayPal said it was not an unauthorized charge!!! I live 235 miles away from the address that they used for delivery and they changed the name on my grubhub account. I always used PayPal for a layer of extra protection but I guess they don’t offer that anymore.

Just happened to me, I got an email with the address and then they changed their email on grubhub right after it processed, I haven't used grubhub in 2 years. Not sure how a subscription was set up, but lesson learned I suppose. I'm irate. If PayPal and grubhub doesn't refund the money I'll be closing pp because I use them as that extra security and this went through so quickly and I had no way of stopping it!

So grubhub told me I'd have someone contact me with in 48 hrs. Haven't heard a thing. PayPal let me dispute the charge but then came back and told me it wasn't unauthorized despite not using GH in 2 years, I'm appealing that, and my bank is now investigating this. I've changed and canceled so many accounts and passwords and now have to have a new bank card issued, I feel like PayPal doesn't take this seriously...specially if so many others are in the same situation and having the same experiences. Scares me how many more people are going to be victims to this.
