Preauthorized payment showing on Bank Account but no matching Paypal Transaction

There is a Preauthorized Paypal Payment showing on my Bank Account. There is not a single matching payment on my account that matches this amount. I called Paypal and they confirmed that no such charge was anywhere on my account and that I needed to contact my bank. My bank says that there is nothing they can do, and that I need to contact paypal. Any suggestions on how to deal with this? Thank you!

My advice IS to shut down paypal. THIS exact thing has happened to me Dec 6th!!!
I'm taking my money and gettin the [removed] outta here. LAWLESS BS. I'll find another much more secure way to send and receive money.

Happened to me yesterday aswell, when I go to my automatic payments nothing shows up there and nothing shows up on my account but I got an e-mail from PayPal that I sent an automatic payment.
Hopefully someone here comes up with a solution for this?

I understand how concerning this can be for you! I would recommend you to review the activity page again by logging in to your PayPal account again to see if any recent transactions match with authorization amount. If there's no notification from PayPal about the authorization or it is not showing up in your PayPal account, please report the authorization with your bank. From there, the bank will communicate with us further so we can find and report the transactions for further investigation.

If you see any debit in your funding sources matching with the automatic payment received in the email, please contact us by clicking the contact us option at the bottom of PayPal page or send us a message through our Twitter(@AskPayPal) and Facebook page for reporting the payment.
