I received an email from PayPal that I have an invoice I need to pay for a bitcoin transaction for $499.30. I have never bought, sold or done anything with bitcoin ever. I do not know the person that this invoice is from either or how they got my information. I have contacted PayPal as well but hoping to get some insight here.

It is a real invoice sent for bogus, made up reasons to scam people. Some scam artist with a PayPal account abusing the PayPal invoicing function sends invoices to random people. You can forward the invoice email to the email address for reporting phishing emails found here, asking PayPal to remove invoice because it’s fake/scam.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
