I requested payment for an item and received an email which I'm certain is fake, I wouldn't send an item without receiving payment but wasn't sure if this is something PayPal do -

This PayPal® payment has been deducted from the buyer's account and has been "APPROVED" but will not be credited to your account until the shipment tracking number is sent to us by replying to this email, for verification so as to secure both the buyer and the seller. It may take a few moments for this transaction to appear in your account after our verification with the tracking number.

Yes. It’s a scam alright. Don’t expect to receive payment. PayPal never asks you to provide tracking without you receiving payment first. Even if the payment was subject to a PayPal hold, it should still appear in your PayPal account if the payment was REALLY sent.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
