Tax Identification Question

What is the easiest way to change my PayPal account from my husband's tax number to mine?  Do I have to close the account and reregister?? TX

Unless the account is a business account and registered with the state, it would be easier to just close the account and reopen it in your name.

Jon, Thank you for your response.  The PayPal account is currently registered under my husband's business account.  How does that change things?  Carol

Great question! If the account is in your name, with your husband's tax ID, you can call our Customer Support and have that updated over the phone. They'll most likely ask for some supporting documentation, but it shouldn't be an issue to get it updated as long as the account is registered in your name.
