I telephoned Paypal at lunchtime today and was told by the agent that she would "escalate it" and I would receive an email. The £256 is still sitting in pending and no email has been sent to me. I contacted the seller who refunded me and he screen shotted his Paypal info showing that the payment was refunded to me direct from his Paypal balance on 19th November. So, where is my refund. I am skint and overdrawn and need this money back!

I have called everyday for 10 days. There is an issue with your system. Told to me by Agents and Supervisors. I've been told for past three days my funds will be released and they still are not released. This is not acceptable. The money was taken out of my account on the 17th, never received by the seller. You have had my money since that time. I three way called my bank with your Agent to verify that the funds were paid from my account, that was 7 days ago. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!

I have experienced the same scenario. Had a refund issued on 16NOV16, still in Pending. Called PayPal on Saturday, and was told funds would be released this Monday. Waited until yesterday with still no resolution. Called back and was told there was "a known glitch they were working to resolve but there was no time-table for the resolution so I need to be patient" . I asked for a Supervisor. This Supervisor shut the conversation down very quickly offering no support other than that my concern was being "added to the ticket" and a tech would need to solve. I asked if calling in the morning and waiting to speak directly to a tech was an option and was told "possibly". I called this morning and received the same "be patient we will get to you when we have a solution" message and was told that there was no way to talk directly to a tech to solve my concern.
No solution available. No comittment to a timeline for resolution. No comment as to why if this issue is so widespread, why aren't more resources being allocated to solve. No comment as to the restitution PayPal will make to those affected. Unacceptable.

That seems to be the attitude of Paypal. Unacceptable! A wink doesn't cut it....in very poor taste!

i have NOTHING to do with paypal, this is a ''user to user'' help forum and i am an ebay seller that helps out here.
When you have helped a lot you get advisor status automatically.
Waiting for an apology but guess I won't hold my breath.
But don't worry i will make sure not to respond to any posts for help you may make in the future.

I'm experiencing the same thing. I've rang 3 times about a refund that was issued 15 days ago and still counting. I've had three different excuses and each time have been told it will take 3 working days. I get a half hearted apology and that's it. I'm really struggling now as it's £149. The lack of communication angers me the most and I very much doubt they would let me owe them money for what will be 3 weeks. I've now made an official complaint and I'm still doubtful that I will get my refund on Monday as they advised it would be. A complete disaster for a purchase that was cancelled by the seller and was refunded within minutes of me paying. I'm fast losing my patience and am finding it very stressful.

From the posts on here it seems like pending refunds / withdrawals etc are all taking longer.
If there is a ''glitch'' then it would be nice if they put a thread up on this forum to let everyone know.

Exactly the same problem!
Rung every day for the past 5 days and always to be told 'it will be in your account tomorrow 100%'.
Same scripted generic uncaring response regardless of who you talk to. Was constantly told my case was being prioritised and I even have an email promising it would be in my account yesterday.
I then asked to speak to someone in the complaints department as I can't pay my bills and the seller released my refund over 2 weeks ago so it's just paypal holding it only to be told 'we don't have a complaints department'.
You can't dispute a pending transaction and their 'How to make a formal complaint against paypal' link is convieniently a dead end. Have now sent an email and left a public message on facebook stating it's completey wrong and I will escalate it to court if I don't have an actual, unscripted person give me some idea of when I'll see my money.
It's more the principal now than anything. I even begged the lady today to close her script and talk to me like an actual human only to be met with THE SAME answer the other 5 people I've spoken to had - 'I can tell this is important to you. The technical team have been made aware of your case and it will be in your account by tomorrow'
So sad as before now I used to really reccomend Paypal to people. I'm shocked at their customer service 😞
