So i sold something on ebay but buyer wanted to return the item. We finally agreed not to return the item and i give him a partial refund but there was a problem sending the refund via ebay. Unfortunately, the refund that you sent didn't go through. To get more details or try again, go To PayPal. But on my paypal there isnt a case to issue a refund from resolution center and in my history payment details also there is not an option to issue a partial refund!
When you go to the item transaction in PayPal, it gives you an option to 'refund' only. When you click on it, it would give you an option to select the amount that you want to refund which means it will confirm any refund instead of automatically sending a full refund when you hit the button.
Have you clicked on the transaction? Towards the bottom there is a button which says 'Refund this payment'. If you click that, on the next page it gives you the option to refund the desired amount. These are UK based PayPal instructions. If you re not within the UK or these options are not available to you then it would be helpful to get in touch with PayPal and seek further assistance.
