Click on the words "Help / Contact" at the bottom of paypals pages and use the phone option in the blue band at the top OR very bottom of page dependent on what country you are in. Scroll down past the list of help questions and click on 'Call us' bottom of that page. Log in and get the code.
OR
have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their facebook or twitter pages.
It's: https://www.facebook.com/PayPal and @AskPayPal for Twitter.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

I'm in the same boat. I've done the "contact us" link and still receive someone offshore. I need to speak with a USA based representative.

Hi @TGIFGroup,
I'm sorry for any confusion. As a global company, you may be connected to a representative from any of the offices that service incoming calls. It is not possible to request that your call be serviced in the USA. All of our customer service representatives are happy to help.

There is NO CONFUSION @PayPal_Olivia! I've been a Paypal user for over 14 years and have NEVER had an issue until this past year. Support SUCKS now! I don't care if Paypal is global or not, when I need help and can't get it there's a problem. When someone does NOT understand my question or problem, there's a problem. When my issue is NOT resolved, there's a problem.
As a customer of Paypal, we should have other options to get our problem(s) resolved and in a timely manner.

@kernowlass I will reach out to social channels for help. Thanks for the reminder to do this. It completely slipped my mind. The Help/Contact at the bottom of the page no longer directs others to a specific country. I've tried this 3 or 4 times to no avail. I appreciate your reply. 🙂
