What is the percentage deducted from the sale by paypal?
Is that determined by country (US) and type of account (pers)?

Assuming you have a US Account and the buyer is also from the US and there's no currency conversion or cross border fees the standard fee is 2.9% of the total amount + $.30 per transaction. For example, you sell an item for $100 = PayPal charges you $3.20 and deposits the balance ($96.80) into your account balance. Fees are explained both in the User Agreement and here.
