TaxID hold not updating 3 days later

3 days ago I was sent an amount over $600USD. PayPal required TaxID. I did this, and was prompted with a screen that said it should take no longer than 15 minutes. This was 3 days ago. I still have a TaxID hold. I called PayPal and they elevated my case. Has anyone else ever had this issue? I would really like access to my funds and not have to wait forever or possibly never.

I called today and was told there was no timeframe when this issue would be resolved. Pretty much said I was SOL.

I am at 6 days of hold so far with absolutely not help other than generic “back office” quotes from PayPal

I have the same exact problem. Tomorrow will make it a full week since I gave them my information and my money is still on hold. They really **bleep**ed me over by this since I really needed that money badly.

I’m still waiting after providing SSN# last month and keep being told similar stories by PayPal. PayPal has been holding my money since May 25th and it’s now June 10th.

They have told me it would be released “immediately”, in “15 minutes”, “in 15-30 minutes”, “in 3 days”, “by June 10th”.

They don’t seem to care about the financial and other hardships they have created for customers by “holding” money indefinitely…

I’ve even had PayPal reps try to tell me that the situation has been resolved when it hasn’t.

Such a terrible way to treat customers!!!
