My mobile number changed a few years ago but I never updated my profile.
Now I can't log in as Paypal wants to send me a text on the old number to verify the account.
I've tried logging in from a different browser which doesn't work.
Also tried using the Help Chat system, but this also requires me to log in to proceed.
Tried ringing the help support number but spent ages going round and round in circles with the automated options, could not get to a point of speaking to an actual person.
Funny thing is, when I selected 'Ask the Community' to access this forum, it allowed me to log in to create this profile to do this!
Really stuck as to how to resolve. Would really appreciate if anyone can offer some help with this please?

So I cannot login because of a changed number.
Only way to change your phone number is to login.
I tried to find support from PayPal but no options for that so I'm asking if anyone has any tips.

I was carrying out a transaction yesterday and, as per usual, sent a SMS authentication code to my phone. I didn't realise at the time that it had come from a number different to the usual one I receive codes from (62226 not <removed>). When logging into my account today the code went back to <removed>, however looking through the forums 62226 is a legitimate UK number used by PayPal, but I cannot find any official information as to what numbers PayPal uses to send these texts. Are they both legitimate numbers?
Regarding the transaction, I checked the browser certificates and they were authentic, so I'm fairly certain that it's just a one off change and that the code was legit, but I would like some reassurance that I haven't made a mistake and given someone access to my account.

Finally got in contact with support and showed them the texts. The format and number are legitimate, they seem to switch based on region activity?
