My mobile number changed a few years ago but I never updated my profile.
Now I can't log in as Paypal wants to send me a text on the old number to verify the account.
I've tried logging in from a different browser which doesn't work.
Also tried using the Help Chat system, but this also requires me to log in to proceed.
Tried ringing the help support number but spent ages going round and round in circles with the automated options, could not get to a point of speaking to an actual person.
Funny thing is, when I selected 'Ask the Community' to access this forum, it allowed me to log in to create this profile to do this!
Really stuck as to how to resolve. Would really appreciate if anyone can offer some help with this please?

I would edit your post and remove your personal number from this worldwide public forum.

Hello I don't have access to my old phone number anymore and now can't access PayPal anymore. Forgot to change it before turning off that phone number. I still have access on email. Is there any solution for accessing ?

Hello.I cant log in into my acc because I have lost my phone number and I cant go to my profile settings to change the old one and add the new one,I cant log in at all,not from app or browser.What do I do?Help pls

Nearly 4,700 posts on this topic yet Paypal continues to use text after 2FA to allow account access. If you don't trust 2FA, find something else or just accept that for the majority of personal users, 2FA is as secure as it is going to get for the present time. The point is, we all travel overseas, we all use different mobile numbers when we are there, so sending a text to a number we don't have is utterly pointless. Do you understand why this is just so utterly frustrating?

Paypal is country specific, so its not supposed to be used whilst travelling because the services allowed to be offered by paypal vary hugely country to country.
When traveling, a login from a different country than where your PayPal account is registered can appear like an attempt by a third party to take over your account. Due to this, PayPal heavily limits and often prevents use of an account while traveling.

If you go to the 'Help & Contact' icon on the PayPal website. Then if you click the 'Contact Us' link at the bottom of the page. From here, if you click the 'Password and Account Access' option, then 'Login Problems'. On the next page, you will see a 'Call Us' option. You do not need to be logged in to use this feature.
