Phone number changed - can't log in

My mobile number changed a few years ago but I never updated my profile. 

Now I can't log in as Paypal wants to send me a text on the old number to verify the account.

I've tried logging in from a different browser which doesn't work.

Also tried using the Help Chat system, but this also requires me to log in to proceed.

Tried ringing the help support number but spent ages going round and round in circles with the automated options, could not get to a point of speaking to an actual person.

Funny thing is, when I selected 'Ask the Community' to access this forum, it allowed me to log in to create this profile to do this!

Really stuck as to how to resolve. Would really appreciate if anyone can offer some help with this please?

I understand that you are unable to log in to your PayPal account due to an old phone number on your account. Contacting our PayPal customer support is the best way to fix this problem.

This new PayPal authentication is killing everyone majority doesn’t have access to the phone number on the account so HOW DO WE LOG IN should have put an mail proposition for the “authentication” I have money on my account I want my money but can’t log in becauussee PayPal decided out of nowhere to double triple up the security meanwhile the old authentication method wasn’t bad at all…. How do I take my money without the phone number??? Because it not 1,2 or 3€ it’s more than 80€ ….so? And I’ve called PayPal multiple times and the said I have to put the last numbers of the registered bank card if I can’t put it I can’t connect my self the problem is THERE WAS NOOO BANK CARD REGISTERED. Fixe the help center before try to triple up the “authentication security” called PayPal more than one time and still NOT helped……… take down this “PS2D strong customer authentication regulations… whatever the name is thank u. But when they send mails for donations and u try to donate there’s no need for the “psd2 authentication”??? LOL

You need a mobile phone to continue using paypal unfortunately.

If you can't log in then options for customer services below so you can access the account and add one?

Contact options for each countries Paypal customer services are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages.

1. Paypal phones when available (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out.
Or
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their Facebook or Twitter pages.

No one answered at the Facebook... Many many people asked.... and asked....

Also, the Phone number its just robot, and must know very good english to choice and speak.

The same broblem is with chat (where is the chat?)...
