I am automatically logged in when making a Paypal payment from Ebay. How do I disable this?

Recently, when purchasing an item on Ebay and selecting Paypal as payment method, I seem to be automatically logged in to Paypal without needing to enter my Paypal password. Is there a way of disabling this? Some of the solutions I have found seem to be out of date, as they do not relate to current "menus" on either Ebay or Paypal.

Nobody else getting this? And no, I am not signed up for "One Touch".

I have exactly the same problem - I don't remember giving any one-touch authorisation, or "remember me".  I find it very worrying that eBay has even got to know my Paypal password.  How can I go back to the old way when I used to have to log on to PayPal separately?

Hello @DavidSC_02 and @worf2

Welcome to the PayPal Community! I'm sorry to hear you're running into some login concerns recently. Most times this is due to the "Save login info" or "keep me logged in" box accidentally being selected during a past checkout. Either way, you have the option to log out of all devices and browsers by going to "Settings" in your PayPal account, then  "Auto Logins", and choose to remove which logins you don't wish to keep saved. You may also want to click on "Manage your Logins" to review the browsers and devices you use to login with.

I hope that helps!

Thank you for your reply, but I cannot find any option in Settings called Auto Logins.  I can see one in Security Settings called Manage Your Logins but that doesn't mention eBay.  Can you give me the full menu path that you can see, and suggest perhaps why I can't see it?

Thank you and best wishes,

David

Sorry about that! I did miss that second step "Security Settings". The full pathway is "Settings" > "Security Settings" > "Auto Logins". Unless you have a Business Account, then the pathway is "Profile Settings" > "Login and Security" > "Stay logged in for faster purchases".

Best wishes!
