Please help as I cant verify my account

I have tried to verify my account and paypal say that my card/bank account is assigned to another account which I have never authorised, How do I resolve this please. Many thanks

Hi laurenlex27, are you sure you closed your old PayPal account? The information would be freed up for use if you did. I'd try logging in using your old details and seeing if the account is still active. Otherwise your only option is to contact customer service directly

Hey there mysterypete, sounds like you need to confirm your bank.  Here’s how to enter the random deposits and confirm your bank account:

 

  1. Go to www.paypal.co.uk and log in to your account.
  2. Click ‘Profile’ near the top of the page.
  3. Click ‘Bank Accounts’ under ‘Financial Information’. (Don’t see this step? Follow the instructions below.)
  4. Click ‘Confirm’ next to the bank account you want to confirm.
  5. Enter the exact amounts of the 2 deposits made to your account, then click ‘Submit’.

Hi there deck,

 

Here’s how to change your credit card or debit card information:

 

  1. Go to www.paypal.co.ukand log in to your account.
  2. Click ‘Profile’ near the top of the page.
  3. Click ‘My money.’
  4. Click ‘Update’ beside ‘Debit and credit cards'.
  5. Click ‘Edit’ next to the card you want to change.
  6. Update your information.
  7. Enter your card security code.
  8. Click ‘Save.’

I have opened an account but never used it.   I now have an invoice to pay and don't know how to.   I am asked to confirm my e-mail address which I think I have done and you are asking for my nos. which I have input my ID No. and my Ref.No. neither of which is accepted.

What more can I do?
