Hey Mike, we feel on PayPal that more funding options offer more choice, for us to send money and for you to select a card or bank of your choice. Again, regardless of the account status, we would like all financial information attached to an account to be “Confirmed”.
Once your account was verified with the Direct Debit, you could continue to pay just using a card. I wonder though what error message you received. With a card (Debit or Credit) we request the funds to be given over. It is ultimately up to the card issuer to give us the funds or not.
